However, it doesn’t get too dull and provides a reasonable experience without being anything out of the ordinary.
Who kidnapped Lisa? How did Will track them down?
When the police begin to investigate the case, Detective Paterson arrives and collects all the necessary information from Will. Meanwhile, Will drove to Lisa’s parents’ house, which is only a few miles from the gas station, to see if she was there for some reason. The parents, who don’t seem to approve of their son-in-law very much, became instantly worried since Lisa didn’t show up, and even became a little suspicious of Will. The police also had initial suspicions about the husband, as the couple was not in the happiest period and was about to leave due to Lisa’s involvement in an extramarital affair. This gave Will the perfect excuse to try to hide his wife, perhaps even kill her, but Paterson lets Will walk free for now.
Paterson seemed to know the gas station storekeeper very well, being a local resident of the same town, and addressed him by the name of Oscar, asking him to show the recording from the surveillance camera. Oscar mentions that the cameras are out of order, but after the detective leaves, Will sees one camera with flashing lights, which means it’s still working. Will goes into anger again and threatens Oscar before finally beating him up and taking the hard drive with the footage to the police station. Looking through the footage, they find Lisa talking to a man right outside the store, then disappears as the truck momentarily blows her out of sight.
While showing the video to Lisa’s parents, Will learns that the man seen talking to her is actually their own handyman named Knuckles. They further explain that Knuckles used to be Lisa’s classmate at school, but the boy grew up without a stable career or job, and so now he runs errands and odd jobs for the people in town, including themselves. The mother then also identifies the car shown in the video and remembers that she saw the exact same car in a nearby garage a few days ago. Will soon makes it to this garage without informing the police and makes his way to an abandoned lot with a small, primitive house. He notices Knuckles struggling to put something in the bag and it looks like he’s handling the person.
Will also breaks into the house, only to find that Knuckles is only hastily packing his bags. A fight ensues and Knuckles also tries to point the gun at her husband. But he is taken hostage after Will surpasses him with his strength. Now Knuckles explains that he took Lisa to a man named Frank, but didn’t want to leave her there alone, since Frank seems to be very dangerous. However, Will spends little time listening as he ties Knuckles’ hands and feet and throws him into his car, ordering him to go ahead of Frank.
As Will hurriedly drives his car to the location, he breaks the speed limit and is immediately followed by a police car. Not wanting to complicate the situation, he drives up and participates in a routine inspection. However, the cop suspects something is wrong and asks Will to get out of the car instead of just handing him a speeding ticket. As the cop is about to open the trunk of the car with Knuckles hidden inside, Will runs away breathlessly and enters the nearby woods. Once he is no longer pursued, Will sets out to find Frank’s house on foot and approaches him for an hour or so. Upon reaching the site, he realizes that it looks like a drug camp, where local shipments of methamphetamine and other chemical drugs are also produced.
He spots Frank, identifying the man as others call his name. And secretly follows him to interrogate him. Meanwhile, Oscar also comes to the camp, and it looks like this person is a regular guest there. Will finally manages to get close to Frank in a large barn that has been turned into a meth lab; he now comes out of hiding and confronts Frank and his men, quickly followed by a firefight. The vengeful husband kills thugs and he tries to corner Frank to find out about Lisa, but shoots the man in the process. Will feels broken as the last straw for his wife is now lost and as he frustratedly leaves the building, he doesn’t notice the small fire that started from the gunfight and all the flammable liquids.
He begins to gradually give up, and now he is haunted by memories of Lisa. But suddenly Oscar comes out of the barn, pointing the gun at Will. Now the shop owner claims to know about Lisa’s whereabouts and demands twenty thousand dollars in exchange for his knowledge. Will doesn’t take him seriously at first, but this changes very quickly when Oscar pulls out Lisa’s phone, making it clear that he too is involved. Will agrees to pay the money, but just as Oscar is about to say something, the entire shed explodes, killing him instantly.
During all this time, Detective Paterson got to the place on the highway where Will’s car stopped and Knuckles was found inside it. The police officer is now interrogating Knuckles and using all the force he needs to get information. Knuckles finally breaks down and reveals exactly what happened: since the man had no serious profession other than a costly drug addiction, he always needed money. While working at the home of Lisa’s parents, he learned that the woman would return to town in a few days, drew up a plan for the kidnapping, and also shared it with Frank. They knew that Lisa was married to a wealthy real estate businessman, Will, and they also knew that the husband would pay a large sum of money to save his wife.
Even though Frank didn’t really approve of the plan, Knuckles decided to go through with it, when I saw my childhood friend at the gas station in the morning. Pretending to hand her some papers to give her to her father, Knuckles managed to get Lisa to his car and then kidnap her. He then took Lisa to Frank’s drug camp, but the man was furious as he assumed that Knuckles would definitely have left his footprints at the gas station. Saying it was too risky to leave Lisa or even bring her back, Frank ordered Knuckles to dig a hole in which Lisa would be buried after the murder. Knuckles was too frightened of the whole situation and ran into the woods, digging a hole. He then returned to his house and was about to leave town when Will came and attacked him there. In his tearful confession to Paterson, Knuckles goes on to mention that Lisa is now most certainly dead. Knuckles managed to get Lisa to his car and then kidnap her. Last Seen Alive Ending Explanation: Is Lisa Really Dead? What will end?
Detective Paterson gets to the drug camp, where other police and fire departments have already reached after the terrible explosion. He finds a discouraged Will sitting in a corner and asks his husband to stay there until he gets word of Lisa’s death. As the detective begins to scan the area and finds a large hole dug behind the house, Will seems to hear a knock nearby. Paterson pushes back the planks that covered the pit and finds it empty. Almost at this very moment, Will finds a small outbuilding from which a knocking is heard. With a sudden surge of newfound hope, he unlocks the bolt on the door and enters to find Lisa lying inside, alive but with her hands and feet tied and her mouth sealed. Will heroically carries his wife outside while she begs him to rescue her and take her away. It seems that, although Knuckles reported Lisa’s certain death, it was a man’s prediction based on what Frank is like, and the drug lord appears to have gotten too caught up in his business before killing the woman. Or it’s also possible that he too ended up deciding to keep Lisa alive in case he could earn some ransom money without sharing it with Knuckles.
Once Lisa is checked out and taken to her home, Paterson arrives and meets Will in the driveway, saying that Knuckles has signed a confession admitting to all kidnapping charges. The detective informs us that while Knuckles’ version is the only credible version of what happened after the kidnapping, since everyone else is dead and Lisa won’t find out about it, Paterson seems to mention that Oscar saw the entire security incident and decided to cut some of the ransom. for myself. On the way to Frank’s camp, he must have picked up Lisa’s phone at the gas station, which fell when she was kidnapped. Paterson also reveals that not all of the bodies in the barn died in the explosion, suggesting that he knew Will killed them, but the cop doesn’t mind. Finally, when it starts to rain outside, Lisa comes out and asks Will to join her and her family inside, offering a very tender reunion between them. At the end of the day, Lost Girl can feel like a very convoluted plot designed to save a failing marriage.
