Meaning of the movie “Vikings: Valhalla” and ending explained Films

I think everyone who is interested in the Vikings has watched one series from Netflix. And the name of this series is Vikings: Valhalla. That is the life of the legendary Vikings and the battle for survival in a world that is evolving. And that’s just the general idea of the film. In addition, he reveals many of the problems of humanity and opens up truly wonderful storylines. The series is filled with various additional dialogues, character descriptions. Army battles are implemented in the best way, more epic and intriguing than the battles in the series, I have not seen. I just couldn’t even blink! A separate mention is also the graphics, which are at the highest level, the atmosphere of everything that happens was conveyed perfectly! One episode can last from 45 minutes and even up to one hour! Let’s not waste time and get down to a short review!

What is the series about?

This work tells us about the Vikings at the beginning of the eleventh century. Each character has his own goals and characteristics, but all of them were united by one main goal – revenge on the Saxons and the capture of England. They wanted to take revenge on them for their betrayal. But everything would be so simple and not in the style of Netflix, if not for the many other troubles at the center of all events. When under the nose in the royal court there are intrigues, betrayals. And all these “jokes” lead to many plot lines that will make events unpredictable. Who could be the next traitor? And the main characters of this story will have to survive all these intrigues in their own skin, preserving their minds and themselves with their heritage in order to protect honor. It would be a sin not to mention that Christian Vikings look very interesting.

Reasons to adore

I will give two points as an example that one hundred percent will show this series from the best side. Attention, this paragraph may contain spoilers! These items:

Epic Main Actions. Many years of wars have already passed. Don’t even count. The Vikings converted to Christianity and came under the government of England. But an unpleasant surprise awaited them. The king staged a “Texas massacre”, killing many people who lived in this country. This gave the ruler of Denmark an excuse to strike back by arranging a campaign against England. But, as I said earlier, it was not without internal conflicts. Some were already Christians, others still worshiped the gods. But one character decided to take revenge and, having gathered close associates, they set out to conquer England.

A Greenlander joined them in the company, not wanting to fight, but for the sake of his sister’s life, he does it. Otherwise, she will simply be executed for the murder of the one to whom the girl wanted to arrange revenge for rape. Now we are already familiar with many heroes that are very important for the plot. Later in the story, they will build a relationship with each other, and they will be pretty easy to remember. Although the plot moves very quickly, without water. And then we will get acquainted with glorious intrigues for that time, which end rather ambiguously. The characters are completely opposite to each other, but this is the interest of the film!

They either betray each other or create very interesting alliances. And by the way, there are no those very stupid villains who are either just eager to kill and take revenge, or very weak. Here we are shown completely different problems, created because of that same king. And these problems are disentangled by others who have fallen into this difficult situation. They either betray each other or create very interesting alliances. And by the way, there are no those very stupid villains who are either just eager to kill and take revenge, or very weak. Here we are shown completely different problems, created because of that same king. And these problems are disentangled by others who have fallen into this difficult situation.

This is another plus. There is no division into good and bad. Dramatic plot of the main action at the highest level!

The staging and costumes are something.Let’s not take into account the adaptation of the actors to those times when the face was completely distorted in battles, there were no teeth and so on. Let’s take into account some other factors. For example, acting. The characters played the same Viking roles superbly. And the same scenery that was used in the film looks very realistic, as does the production. Actors have come a very long way in learning the arts of swords and axes. Which is already commendable, since understudies were not needed, and the game was more realistic. Each character had an individual costume, emphasizing the character (but this is my opinion). There are a couple of moments where everything is at the highest level. When they tried so hard to realize the scenes that they built real ships and part of the bridge. I think you will guess later what episode we are talking about. Which means

What is the meaning of the movie “Vikings: Valhalla”?

I think everyone will get something different by answering this question. Therefore, I will judge based on my opinion. First of all, this is a historical narrative. The series tried to retell some historical moments. And, in my opinion, they succeeded. Although real historians will still judge, they will definitely find an abyss in the plot. But for a person who just wanted to take an interest in this topic, the work will be unsurpassed for him. For me personally, the story was conveyed as believably as possible, describing all the small details that many might not even notice.

The second thing I would say is that very few modern companies can create a decent film or series on the Vikings. And this is my favorite topic, which I find fault with very much. And so I will choose very carefully. And for my eyes, the very culture of the Vikings was able to convey the series. Yes, there were flaws in the type of incomplete realism of the image. But, I think, no one will cripple the actors for the sake of the “perfect image”.

Everything else was great. They were not shown as sissies, but as real warriors, ready to kill as cruelly as possible. Their communication with others, their character was conveyed perfectly. Well, there was a lack of some kind of wildness in the series, which was in the normal range. Because the Vikings, although not particularly gifted with intelligence, were also people. This fine line is shown in the series. Costumes, traditions and surroundings also conveyed the atmosphere of those times,

Explanation of the ending of the movie “Vikings: Valhalla”

Be careful, spoilers follow .

Change is coming to England. Emma was expelled from London. The Viking force is about to wage war against the fanatics, Kore, and the now supporters of that side, Harald and Olaf. Leif was forced by fate to see a human sacrifice.

Kore takes over after the attack begins, which means the negotiations did not lead to anything good. Harald was also captured. The prince was saved, and Olaf revealed his motives for staying in support with Kore.

There is a conversation between Haakon and Freydis about her survival, which was uttered by the dying warrior Haakon.

Kore dies and Freydis takes Harald to safety. Liv was wounded by Olaf. Olaf became the new ruler of Kattegat.

Liv dies and Leif kills part of Olaf’s troops.

My opinion is that Leif will not be able to accept the Christian faith, given his recent actions. He acted as wildly as possible, showing himself to be a Viking. Swain leaves England in capable hands and casts an eye on Olaf, who has decided to create his own business. I’m sure Freydis will fight Canute and Swain in the future.

Kattegat is currently run by no one. With Godwin’s help, Emma takes the throne by tricking Swain.

And Knut is still fighting a bloody war in Denmark, and he is still alive.

I hope this short review helped you understand the general features of the film!
